If you don't remember the original Battalion Commander or never played it, it is a simple top down arcade shooter but instead of a typical space ship you have a battalion. You start out with just one guy (the leader) and as you shoot down bad guys you also rescue fellow soldiers that add to your squad a la Endless Migration style. So what is different in the sequel? Honestly, just a bunch of new features. There are tons of enemies to get you including flamethrower towers, cannons, enemies that pop out of snow drifts, etc. To help combat all of this there are new powerups for your leader and new squad members such as your own flamethrowers.

Other than that there aren't too many big changes. The formula is the same except that it is set in a snowy landscape. I also found everything to be fairly harder this time around which I appreciated. In general, Battalion Commander 2 is more of the same but that same is an excellent flash game idea.
