It reminds me of olden days of browser gaming where you would start your dial-up, get your friend over and then play a flash game's multiplayer mode on the same keyboard. Racer Kartz has this style of play (hence 2PG sponsoring it) but brought into the modern light. As the name suggests you'll be racing kartz in a high speed chase.
Racer Kartz has some good things about it. The graphics are spot on for one thing. Very colorful, bright, shiny, etc. All that you'd want in a cartoony like flash game. I also like the sense of speed in the actual gameplay. Obstacles zip and zoom past you and everything is blurry. Really feels like you're sitting in the pilot seat going 100 mph.
However, Racer Kartz also has some unforgiving problems associated with it. It really just seems that everything is stacked against you. Basically, the goal of the game (for singleplayer) is to have your car in these "hot spots" and if you fill up the hot spot charge you win the race and can go to other levels. Yet, you have to worry about a damage meter and fuel gauge. Also, if you hit an obstacle your hot spot charge goes to zero leaving you with literally no chance to win the level (due to already using most of your fuel). I like the idea behindRacer Kartz but just feel that it is unfair to players and just leads to too much frustration.
