Iriysoft always seems to take a rather typical flash game genre but tweak it so they make it totally unique than anything you've played before. In Road of Fury's case it is a typical road "racing" game where you shoot incoming enemies. However, they changed it up so you have a squad of different vehicles in order to make it to the end. The different vehicles have different main weapons and powers. These range from miniguns, grenade launchers and rail guns for the weapons and shields, aerial assaults and time freezes for the powerups. You then mix and match the cars to your liking and then go all out on some intense baddies. You'll face off against jet pack enemies shooting rockets at you, people on motorcycles, cars, helicopters, and more. Iriysoft has always been great at giving a great variety of everything in their games.
However, Road of Fury still falls in some of the typical pitfalls that plague most flash games. In general, Road of Fury is fairly linear which is a common problem in these upgrade type games. You play and play and play till you can afford the next thing and then go back to grinding. Gameplay is super fun and addicting but still very linear. I also found a fair bit of lag in Road of Fury but that could just be my current computer. In general though, Road of Fury is an excellent shooter distance game that mixes everything up slightly.
