Furtive Dao is one of the most cute, adorable but also oddly menacing flash games I've played. Basically it has you playing as a cute cat ninja who finds a rundown orphanage full of other cute and cuddly creatures that you want to help fix up. Your friend then points you in the direction of these evil ninjas and what is, I guess, their blood money. So each level is you using your ninja skills to steal their money and kill them before they kill you.
Actual gameplay for Furtive Dao isn't all that unique. It has you and your cat like ninja skills being able to essentially teleport from one place to another through certain objects. Passing through enemies (some have special conditions however) kills them and you can also hang on certain walls and do other ninja like things. However, I felt that something was off about it all. If you collect all the coins and kill all the people in a certain amount of moves you can earn 5 bags of money, but if you kill all the people the game ends even if you have extra moves to use on money. Also a lot of it is based on timing and patience which I'm not always a fan of.
I do like, though, that you actually get to use your money on the aforementioned orphanage to make repairs. For instance you can repair holes in the roof for 3 coins, replace windows, heal children, etc. It is all cosmetic and "gimmicky" but I loved it and kept me wanting to play to help this virtual orphanage. Overall though, Furtive Dao is interesting for sure but nothing extra special compared to a lot of other similar flash games.
